Google+ Denied The Plan of Recruiting Hollywood Celebrities

Google is rumored to seek a method of the celebrities verification who sign up to Google +.


TECHNO NEWS - Google seems ambitious for their new social networking to more known among Hollywood celebrities. At the age of three weeks since the launch, Google + rumored to have a plan to recruit celebrities.

As quoted from the pages of CNN, for the starters, Google plans to build a verification systems that able to identify celebrities who sign up on the Google +. The validation process is done to prevent someone who impersonating celebrities.

According to Brett Schulte, a social media consultant of Hollywood celebrities from Tweet House, the process would resemble verification stamp "Verified Account" which has been used by Twitter .



Google still searching for the proper verification methods. According to Schulte, one of method used by Google to verify is ask celebrities to send copies of driver's license to Google via fax.

In addition, Google will also compile lists a number of agents and consultants who can send a direct verification requests . "They (Google +) are excited to have celebrities," said Schulte.

In 2008, Google launched a trial program in the United States that allows someone to validate their identity in their Google profile. That system will check the person's name and phone number, to then be asked for answer a PIN code when contacted. After validation complete, there will be a sign of "verification" in the profiles of someone who do the validation.

The stamp of Verified Accounts on Twitter now it has become a sign of social status of a celebrity. Brett Schulte himself claimed to have helped a number of celebrities got the verification stamp, among them is George Michael.

However, a Google spokesman denied about the plan of recruiting Hollywood celebrities. "We have not provided detailed information about a Google + future plans," said a Google spokesman confirms to CNN. "We still have plans to increase the number of features and functions to be added to the Google +."

One of plans the features that will be added to Google + is a "business profile", for a corporate account. Google itself still searching for methods of verification for company profile.
